Canal Walk Presents - The SA Lingerie Fashion show 2015 in association with Loving Touch to support National Breast Cancer Awareness Month!
The highly anticipated annual SA Lingerie Fashion Show will take place at Canal Walk. A favourite on the South African fashion calendar for men and women alike – will this year, give the launch of Breast Cancer Awareness Month some added fabness!
Breast cancer affects a huge number of women, and increasingly men too, and also their families. The ‘Celebrating the Warrior Women’ theme aims to showcase that the world is the runway for all women who believe in themselves. While the models will be drenched in exquisite lingerie from the latest collections and cloaked in exotic African goddess finery, every woman has the right to feel beautiful – from the under-garments, out.
The PINK DRIVE initiative will also be a part of this year’s event. The show encourages everyone to come to the centre on Thursday 1st October at 20h30 to not only appreciate the beauty of the production and enjoy the entertainment on offer, but to stand together in support of those affected by purchasing a care pack.
Many women undergoing treatment for breast cancer come from far surrounds. They spend many hours in hospitals around the Western Cape, often with scant necessities. The packs that Pink Drive will donate to deserving women will include a variety of provisions – from basic foodstuffs to feminine personal care products. The Pink Drive will be selling ‘Care Packs’ for the sum of R100 each, in the lead up to the event via their website as well as at Canal Walk on the night of the show itself.
