TAKE MY THIRD FINGER, I INSIST… YOU CAN KEEP IT

In life you are always trying to please people:

• Your parents – by doing well at school and sports
• Your friends – by allowing them to use peer-pressure to influence you
• Your boss – by creeping up his ass only to be disappointed, once again, with your salary increase

You change who you are to please others. You just about passed mathematics and physics, but it made your parents smile. You wear fashionable clothes to impress your friends, when all you really want to do is wear you stone-washed jeans and over-sized T-shirt. You work late and “go the extra mile” only to get an Employee of the Month certificate. STUPID PIECE OF PAPER!


It is understandable that when you are in a certain environment you are expected to dress and act a certain way. HOWEVER, when you are with your friends, why not be considerate and maybe ask once in a while, “what would you like to do?” have you ever thought that maybe your friend doesn’t like clubs? Hence your friend just sits in a corner and doesn’t join in the clubbing festivities and then gets the name "Bag Girl".

Moral of this post:

Don’t be selfish.

Remember we are all individuals, we all have our personal likes and dislikes. We try, as far as possible, to be true to ourselves while at the same time try to please those around us. Let’s be more accepting and appreciative for the things that makes us different.
