Who here can safely say that they have visited Soweto? Who can say they have visited Soweto on Youth Day? Who can say they have been to The Hector Pieterson Memorial? 

The 16th June 2016 my team and I will finally be able to say we did and what an experience we are in for. We will be on a journey of epic proportions taking in the sights and sounds that will no doubt be resonating through the streets of Soweto. We will endeavour to learn as much as we can about this historical place and find out how the young people of yesteryear helped shape the future as we know it today.

They rose up 40 years ago to stand up against the apartheid regime and we will be there to find out how the young people of today have benefited 40 years on from the heroics of the youth of '76. 

A short documentary will be shot by my team and I and we will go LIVE via Facebook (time to be confirmed) to bring you some of the action. So be sure to connect with me via my social media channels and be apart of our journey as we take a look back into our young democracy's history and how the youth of 2016 sees the future of the Republic of South Africa.
