Anuell's love for fashion has always been influenced by his surrounding, being raised by three females meant he always had the upper hand.

"Multimedia designer Alejandro Saayman created a logo that resonates well with the aesthetics of SMS. I appreciate that he has given meaning to the triangle, conjoining two A’s representing my initials, Anuell Ahmar. Two of its meanings are “Fight” and “Bouquet”… I’ve made it my endeavour to utilize these two words and create something magnificent, something I am passionate about."
Anuell tells us why he opted fashion blogging and about the blog:
"As I’ve gone through the years. I’ve tried to subdue the fact that I am enticed by the fashion industry. Since as a male, it was then not the norm…"
"My aim with SMS is to speak to those on the same frequency as I am. To that boy “who sits under a bridge pretending to go to soccer practice but instead reads Vogue Magazine”. I’ve seen people be unhappy in this life because their pride seems greater than their passion."
StyleMeStrauss comprises of five bright sparks of which the title of Content Editor and Strategist is held by Anuell. He had this to say about his duties, "I handles all and proofread all content provided by our stylist's, womanswear editor and menswear editor. I also am responsible for event attendance and brand exposure. This is right up my alley as I am a Marketing Major at Varsity College Business School."

As Style Me Strauss is created for the modern pioneer, those who wish to express their love for fashion and style by the way they dress. Those who see clothing as much more than just a piece of cloth. Their aim is to have Style Me Strauss as a beacon of iconography for style seekers. Lookbook shoots are arranged twice every season having worked with top brands such as Aldo, Levi's, Hilton Weiner, Csquared etc in order to showcase the best of every brand.
Members of the blog attend events all over and host interviews with influential people in the industry. They recently hosted Leigh-Anne Williams and couture designer Jacques Lagrange at the Premier Hotel Cape Manor in Sea Point. This can all be viewed on their Youtube Channel, Style Me Strauss TV.
