For those who don't know who KB is well she is a South African actress and R&B singer best known for her role as KayBee on the e.tv soap opera Backstage and currently plays the role of Lucilla Vilakazi on the soapie that replaced Backstage on e.tv, Rhythm City, since 2007.

KB has just released her 6th studio album RUN FREE: THE EVOLUTION which we mention in the interview.

Versatile Lyle: "So KB you have worked in the Music and TV industries, which one of the two would you choose if you had to only concentrate on one?"

KB: "WHICHEVER ALLOWS ME TO BE CREATIVE AND BE PART OF THE ENTERTAINMENT EVOLUTION."

Versatile Lyle: "Cats or Dogs, Tea or Coffee , Cape Town or Joburg? "

KB: "NEITHER,  NOT FUSSY, TO LIVE, CAPE TOWN, TO WORK JOBURG "

Versatile Lyle: "Can you share with us your one high point in your career that really stands out above the rest?

KB: "BEING ONE OF THE VOLVO BRAND AMBASSADORS.

Versatile Lyle: "Your latest album, Run Free: The Evolution, tell us a little about that, what was your inspiration or main driving force behind the making of this album?"

KB: "THE ALBUM IS ABOUT MY EVOLUTION IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY, GETTING OUT OF THE RAT RACE AND DOING THINGS MY WAY. IT HAS 14 SONGS, INCL A COVER VERSION AND REMIX. ITS ABSOLUTELY KB'LOUS!

Versatile Lyle: "Many may not know this but you also featured in the Hollywood Blockbuster film "Ali" along side Will Smith, did you ever bump into him on set and what was it like to work on the film? "

KB: "HE IS THE MOST HUMBLE INTERNATIONAL STAR I HAVE EXPERIENCED. I DID A SCENE WITH HIM AND HAD TO GIVE HIM A PECK ON THE CHEEK. ALL THE OTHER STARS WERE PART OF THAT SCENE, MICHAEL MICHELLE, JAMIE FOXX, JEFFREY WRIGHT, SHABAKA, JOHN VOIGHT AND DIRECTOR MICHAEL MANN  SO I WAS PUNCHING WAAAAY ABOVE MY WEIGHT. IT WAS TRAUMATIZING BUT ENDED UP BEING A SPIRITUAL EXPERIENCE. I TOOK IT GOD WAS SAYING "ANYTHING'S POSSIBLE, NOTHING IS TOO BIG FOR ME"

Versatile Lyle: "Lastly any messages for aspiring musicians, performers, actors/actresses?"

KB: "WE ARE THE CREATIVES THEREFORE WE DEFINE THE GAME. FORGETTING THAT IS DANGEROUS AND CAN HARM YOUR VIEW OF YOURSELF AND YOUR ART. LEARN THE GAME, BE YOUR OWN RAINMAKER, HAVE FUN AND GO FOR GOLD."
