Entertaining, charming, witty and above all fun, The Black Ties are the ultimate cover band taking you on a music journey through your favourite songs all the way from Stevie Wonder, Frank Sinatra, Michael Buble and Lionel Ritchie to the likes of Daft Punk, Bruno Mars, Pharrell Williams and so much more!

With experience performing on stages in Spain, Thailand, Seychelles & throughout South Africa, the boys rise to any occasion. From touring with American R&B Star Tevin Campbell in 2013 to performing on the DSTV Cruise to the Portuguese Islands, The Black Ties are always entertaining, and always having fun. With SAMA Nominations and Metro FM Awards between them, they have created a strong following and these three musical talents combine to form a dynamic and thoroughly enjoyable unit. No venue is too big to be intimate or too small to be fun when the atmosphere, the energy and above all, the music is, well, just right.

LLOYD CELE’S RISE TO FAME
Before 2010 L’loyd Cele would never have imagined himself to be one of the South Africa’s most popular artists. Now days though, Lloyd finds himself traveling the country performing at top live events, being nominated for top accolades, involving himself with notable charities, recording songs with top producers, shooting videos and collaborating with leading SA artists.

He is a SAMA best Pop award winner and a Metro FM Award winner for best R&B. Long before Idols, Lloyd was always passionate about music. He was the worship director at his church and also a youth leader at Eagles Community Fellowship which equip young people to be effective in their communities. He is a self-taught musician and has learned to play the guitar, keyboard and saxophone.

In addition to performing and recording Lloyd is currently lending his recognizable name and face to organizations that make a difference. Not one to rest on his laurels, Lloyd is also a radio presenter with his own show on VumaFM called “The Lloyd Cele Show” every Sunday 3-7pm on Vuma fm, a new commercial radio station broadcasting in the Kwazulu-Natal region.

Marmalade Productions are proud to bring Tevin Campbell back to South Africa after sold out performances in 2013.

Tevin Campbell was born in Dallas, Texas on November 12, 1976. At the age of 12, he became one of the youngest solo artists to ever be signed to a major record label. Quincy Jones took a special interest in Tevin’s talent and he appeared on Jones’ LP Back on the Block and was featured on "Tomorrow (A Better You, Better Me)," which hit number one on the R&B charts in June 1990. Later that year, he appeared in Prince's Graffiti Bridge film singing "Round and Round," which Prince wrote for him and which became a gold single. Next, in the summer of 1991, he appeared on the soundtrack to Boyz in the Hood singing "Just Ask Me To," a Top Ten R&B hit. All of this set the stage for his debut album, 1991's T.E.V.I.N., which went platinum and spawned two R&B chart-toppers, "Tell Me What You Want Me to Do" and "Alone with You," as well as the R&B Top Five hit "Goodbye." I'm Ready, released two years later, did even better, going double platinum and featuring three R&B chart hits -- the number one "Can We Talk," "I'm Ready," which went Top Five, and "Always in My Heart," which reached the Top Ten. Campbell’s compilation album “The Best of Campbell” was a huge international success, reaching multi-platinum status in Africa, Japan and the UK. Campbell has worked with some of the industry’s top writers and producers including Prince, Babyface, Al B. Sure, Narada Michael Walden, Wyclef and Sean “Diddy” Combs.

After releasing several hit singles, Tevin transitioned into TV, Film and Broadway. He made several acting appearances in the hit TV sitcoms “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” and “Moesha” and did the soundtrack for “A Goofy Movie,” an animated musical comedy film.

In recent years, Tevin has taken Broadway by storm and played the role of Seaweed J. Stubbs in the hit Broadway musical Hairspray. Campbell reprised his role of Seaweed in the Broadway musical, Hairspray, in the Melbourne and Sydney productions in Australia.
